Antique French Montieth Style Champagne Chiller with Engraved Crest and Handles

  
For hundreds of years, the French have been establishing the standard for the buckets that chill their excellent champagne. This piece carves out a small period of time when regalia was showing a pre art-deco style. Built to chill a large format, or magnum bottle, it is built strong, yet not too heavy. Measuring 10 tall with a low base that allows for more ice and weighing about 2 pounds with reinforced handles on either side, this rare antique is worthy of being in your family for generations to come. The large crest that is beautifully engraved on each side depicts the standing lion shield under a four-post cardinal and a swan nesting at the top.

There are no dents, chips, cracks or faded silver anywhere on this piece. It is in exceptional condition.
